Roald Dahl, as we all know, is a wonderful book writer. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was, in fact, written by him.

This suspenseful (in a kid way) book is funny, gross and adventurous. I loved it and thought it was so cool, with funny maps and diagrams added in.

This book is about a kind of guide to witches. It features a little boy hiding from witches and having help from his grandmother, a witch expert. This is so funny and, in fact, one part stuck in my mind: when he showed a diagram of how the witch got meaner and the witch got uglier. This part is stuck in my mind after three years!

This is such a fun, easy, simple book. I love it and think you should read it!Zombelinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06769792413018977979noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721752483135648160.post-91347293003593941702013-03-30T12:44:00.000-07:002013-03-30T12:44:28.872-07:00WONDER by R.J. It is heartwarming and teaches you that it is great to choose kindness (kind of the book's jingle).

This book is about a 5th grade boy with a damaged face who starts school after being home schooled for many years. It is hilarious and a great read. In fact, the town of Fairfield, CT has a "One Book, One Town" program, where they pick a great book for the year--and this is their choice!

You will fall in love in the first pages. This book makes you laugh and cry. This book rocks, and you should read it!Zombelinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06769792413018977979noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721752483135648160.post-81445671939625195072012-08-23T15:37:00.002-07:002012-08-23T15:37:31.924-07:00THE HOBBIT By J.R.R. The Hobbit is a wonderful adventure. It is a prelude to The Lord of The Rings books. It is about a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who is not much of an adventurer, but faces many adventures with dwarfs and wizards who take the adventure with him.

This old classic will transport you into another world--just as if you were in the book, with Bilbo Baggins. If you ever wondered what Frodo's uncle's adventures were like, you should read this--especially since it's coming out as a movie later this year!

This was a great book. It felt like you were going back in time, while kinda having a cool adventure with this little girl. She goes into a town that her father grew up in, to learn more about him. And learns more than she expected to.

This twisting tale includes friendship, adventure and sadness. I'm not the only one who thinks this is a great book, as it was a Nutmeg Award winner!Zombelinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06769792413018977979noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721752483135648160.post-54198555994803689202012-04-13T19:11:00.005-07:002012-04-13T19:41:24.560-07:00A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS by Lemony SnicketMy next book to review is the whole series of A Series of Unfortunate Events. This is an awesome series about orphans who experience lots of unfortunate events, mostly because of a guy named Count Olaf. The suspense and planning in this 13-book series is awesome, and will keep you reading. In fact, the first three books are out in a movie. The narrator is awesome and so is the series.Zombelinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06769792413018977979noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721752483135648160.post-14734609423291065042011-10-16T06:40:00.000-07:002011-11-08T17:22:08.194-08:00DYING TO MEET YOU By Kate KliseThis book might just be letters and newspapers, but it is one of the most crazy and scary stories combined. The characters are the ghost Olive, C. Spence, Seymour Hope and Iggy. Can a ghost and a scary writer take care of a little orphan and still write? The expression and description was awesome. He's a very famous, colorful painter.

He wrote The Grouchy Ladybug, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and many other books. He puts lots of colors in his pictures, and makes them very bright and beautiful. Sometimes, he just does pictures in his books, and sometimes he does words and pictures.

I think you should try all of Eric Carle's books. He's a very good author.

Go here and check out Eric Carle's official website!Zombelinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06769792413018977979noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721752483135648160.post-40847964206858625722010-02-21T15:25:00.000-08:002010-02-21T15:29:54.282-08:00ALICE IN WONDERLAND By Lewis CarrollThis book is really great. I got it when my brother was born, for being a big sister.

It's a very fun book with a lot of pop-ups. Everyone will enjoy this, especially if you like The Wizard of Oz. When you read it, on each flap there's another pop-up, even little tiny ones.

This is a very long book, but it tells the whole story about Dorothy. My favorite pop-up was at the beginning, where you turn this little flap, and you can see Dorothy and Toto falling off the bed in the tornado.Zombelinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06769792413018977979noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5721752483135648160.post-83451688859843372322009-10-30T17:18:00.000-07:002009-10-30T17:24:00.782-07:00NO TALKING By Andrew ClementsI think that this book is interesting, and makes you want to keep reading it to see what happens next.

It's about a fifth grade class that has boys and girls in it. The boys and girls are having a contest, because the boys think the girls talk too much, and the girls think the boys talk too much. So, what they do is not talk for a whole week, and whichever team talks less, wins.

I also think this book would be good for around age 8.Zombelinahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06769792413018977979noreply@blogger.com0
