This book might just be letters and newspapers, but it is one of the most crazy and scary stories combined. The characters are the ghost Olive, C. Spence, Seymour Hope and Iggy. Can a ghost and a scary writer take care of a little orphan and still write? The expression and description was awesome. The pictures are also pretty awesome. And don't forget--it was a 2011 Nutmeg Award nominee!

THE CURSE OF CAMP COLD LAKE By R.L. Stine
This is a book about a girl going to a camp with what they call "buddies". You meen ghosts? when I was reading this book, I felt like the bone-chilling parts where happening to me. Her mom and dad now might now regret makeing her go to camp. Please read this book and see what I enjoyed! All the description they used was great. For example, when Della was singing the campfire song, it was described as a soft, quiet voice.

THE RED BLAZER GIRLS By Michael D. Beil
If you like mysteries, you should read this book. This author expresses a lot of details. He can make you want to keep reading the book, and when my teacher says to stop reading, I never want to. This book keeps you waiting and waiting to figure out the mystery at the end. I like this book because it has a lot of unusual characters, like Malcolm and the maid in the old lady's house. So if you like mysteries, this would be the perfect book for you.
